MTPConnect, the national growth centre for the medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector, and Queensland peak industry group Life Sciences Queensland have expanded their alliance to help grow Australian life sciences.

MTPConnect CEO Dr Dan Grant joined LSQ CEO Mario Pennisi in Brisbane to sign a new and extended Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

“LSQ plays a key role in enhancing Queensland’s national and international reputation as a centre of commercial and research excellence and we’re delighted to continue our collaboration,” said MTPConnect’s Dr Grant.

“Working together means we can continue to create collaboration and access opportunities for Queensland researchers and firms, including inbound and outbound missions and connections with investors.”

“Our relationship with MTPConnect is an important and productive alliance – we’re both focused on expanding the life sciences sector and supporting emerging healthtech startups, SMEs and researchers,” said LSQ’s Mr Pennisi.

“Our agreement represents and tangible commitment of collaboration at the state and federal level and creates concrete opportunities for each of us to leverage our resources for the benefit of the broader sector.”
