Dr Dan Grant - CEO

Growth Centres Chair's Meeting & CEO Meeting

Dan joined MTPConnect Chair Sue MacLeman at the Industry Growth Centres Chairs and CEOs meeting in Canberra. The meeting provided an opportunity to engage with leaders of each of the Growth Centres on strategies and opportunities to drive innovation, productivity and growth. It was held in the lead up to the Showcase event at Parliament House.

Health Technologies Assessment

Our CEO attended the Health Technologies Assessment (HTA) roundtable this week. An initiative of the Department of Health, the HTA process looks at the medical, economic, social and ethical implications of development, diffusion and use of health service delivery, and associated technologies.

The roundtable was chaired by Lloyd Sansom. By bringing together key stakeholders and providing an industry, consumer and regulatory perspective for health technology and service delivery assessment, the HTA process is helping to ensure Australia is well positioned to capture the benefits of health care innovations in a rapidly changing environment.

TGA Engagement

Dan also joined representatives from AusBiotech for an industry bilateral meeting with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). The meeting is part of our ongoing series of engagement with the TGA and the biotech sector on effective and timely frameworks for regulation of therapeutic goods.
