ANSTO is a public research organisation responsible for delivering specialised advice, scientific services and products. As custodian of Australia's landmark infrastructure, ANSTO is using nuclear science to benefit industry, people and the environment.
One of ANSTO's core missions, as a Federal Government agency, is to manufacture and advance the use of radiopharmaceuticals which will improve the health of Australians. Through its TGA-licensed facilities ANSTO Health supplies more than 85 per cent of the annual diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in Australia, through more than 220 nuclear medicine centres. All products are manufactured in 'clean rooms' by strict quality assurance and control programs which comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
