About Therapeutic Innovation Australia

Established in 2008, Therapeutic Innovation Australia is the lead agent for the NCRIS "Translating Health Discoveries" project. TIA supports access to translational research facilities that can accelerate translation of discoveries from the lab to the clinic. Consortium members provide a wide range of quality translational services. TIA works to lower the bar for researchers to access excellent translational research services in the fields of biologics, cell therapies, small molecules, preclinical testing and clinical trials.

TIA also seeks to add value to Australia’s public-funded therapeutic development community through support initiatives such as:

  • iQDOCs - a world-first online repository of generic documents to aid in developing quality systems for translational research
  • ATRAX – a unique database of funded medical research projects that provide a picture of Australian translational research
  • The Australian Therapeutic Pipeline – a group of Australian facilities and companies active in the development of therapies from discovery to market
