About The Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing at the University of Adelaide
The Institute for Photonics & Advanced Sensing (IPAS) is a global hub of Photonics research and one of five research institutes at the University of Adelaide, which exemplify research excellence.
IPAS brings together over 200 experimental physicists, chemists, material scientists, biologists, experimentally driven theoretical scientists and medical researchers to pursue a new transdisciplinary approach to science and develop novel photonic, sensing and measurement technologies.
The Institute is supported by modern infrastructure and has an innovation driven culture. Their engagement with industry engagement ranges from solving specific end-user problems to providing access to cutting-edge manufacturing infrastructure for proof of concept materials and prototype devices.
