About Perth Blood Institute

The Perth Blood Institute (PBI) is a medical research institute specialising in blood disorders, including haemophilia, deep vein thrombosis, leukaemia, myeloma and lymphoma. PBI conducts medical research into blood disorders, including their causes, prevention and treatment options; facilitates access to high quality clinical trials for people affected by blood disorders; and improves the provision of information about blood disorders to patients and their families. PBI is involved in pre-clinical research through our association with Murdoch University through our WA Centre of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Our clinical trial program (involving Phase I-IV trials) operates from our West Perth Head Office, and Nedlands and Midlands satellite operations, bringing access to new therapies for blood disorders and blood cancers to directly benefit the Western Australian community.
