BiVACOR Receives Funding Boost for Total Artificial Heart Clinical Trials
BiVACOR a clinical stage device company, recently received US$13 million as part of the Artificial Heart Frontiers Program, to support the company’s Total Artificial Heart program and future product enhancements. The funding will support clinical work of the BiVACOR Total Artificial Heart and begin development for the integration of wireless power sources for the device. Argenica Therapeutics launches Phase 2 trials into novel stroke therapy drug
Perth-based Argenica Therapeutics Limited is developing pioneering novel neuroprotective therapies designed to reduce brain damage after stroke and other severe brain injuries. The company recently announced initiation of a Phase 2 clinical trial for its novel drug, ARG-007, with the aim of reducing brain tissue damage post-stroke.

Early Results are In – MTPConnect’s TTRA Program Delivering Strong Health and Economic Impact at Halfway Mark
A new report published today shows MTPConnect’s Targeted Translation Research Accelerator (TTRA) program is already delivering benefits and novel health solutions for Australian patients and the health sector – just over halfway through its duration. The $47 million TTRA program, an initiative of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), was established by MTPConnect in 2020 to support translational research for the development of novel products and solutions for diabetes and cardiovascular disease – leading causes of death and disability in Australia.
