Closing The Skills Gap In Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing - Launch of Good Manufacturing Practice Training For Human Health Products

COVID-19 has put unprecedented focus on the MTP sector – highlighting the importance of research and development, and new technologies and advancements to navigate human health challenges. This coupled with the importance of sovereign capability and a robust supply chain to support the provision of essential MTP products, has created unique opportunities to invigorate and invest for a stronger sector. Read about the launch of the Good Manufacturing Practice Uplift training programs developed by the Centre for Biopharmaceutical Excellence with input and support from MTPConnect's REDI program.

CTCM News: QUT training program receives funding to accelerate Australian medical device innovations

The BridgeTech Program, a successful medtech commercialisation training program delivered by QUT, will continue for the next two years thanks to a government funding initiative that supports high-quality Australian medical device projects with strong commercial potential. Along with four preeminent industry partners, the program was selected as the educational partner for MTPConnect’s Clinical Translation and Commercialisation Medtech Program.

TTRA Webinars Highlight Key Elements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Research

MTPConnect’s Targeted Translation Research Accelerator program will open Round 3 of its Research Projects funding opportunity in early 2023 to support diabetes and cardiovascular disease projects that address the unmet health and medical needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in rural, remote, regional, and urban centres. In anticipation of the round, MTPConnect is hosting a series of webinars to highlight key elements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research that potential applicants should consider when building their projects and teams.

BMTH Team Visit Projects in Queensland and New South Wales

Recently, MTPConnect’s BioMedTech Horizons team visited Queensland and New South Wales to catch-up with five BMTH awardees for on-site visits and project progress updates. The BMTH team visited IntelliDesign and WearOptimo in Queensland, and Merunova Pty Ltd, Kunovus Technologies Pty Ltd and VenstraMedical Pty Ltd in New South Wales.
