Innovative device set to improve treatment for Parkinson’s disease

More than 10 million people worldwide are currently living with Parkinson's disease. For 20 per cent of patients, medications do not adequately control motor symptoms. These patients can be helped by Deep Brain Stimulation, but conventional DBS devices have limitations. Deep Brain Stimulation Technologies - a BTB program funded project - is developing an innovative DBS device that aims to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson's disease worldwide.
