Introducing Dr Gerard Gibbs – Senior Director BioMedTech Horizons Program

MTPConnect is excited to announce the appointment of Dr Gerard Gibbs in the role of Senior Director BMTH Program, starting today.

Based at our Head Office in Melbourne, Gerard will be responsible for the overall management, delivery and reporting of the BMTH program, working in partnership with Director BMTH Vishal Srivastava and Project Manager Divya Kalla. 

Gerard will also oversee operations and secretariat support to the BMTH Steering Committee and associated panels and sub-committees in administering funding of the program.

Gerard will also support MTPConnect’s general stakeholder engagement activities across the Australian MTP sector and contribute to the development of the organisation’s strategic planning.

Gerard brings with him extensive experience in international business development, stakeholder and team management; and proposal development and a background in biological sciences research. Prior to joining MTPConnect, he was the Asia Pacific Senior Business Development Lead and Product Specialist at publicly listed multinational instrument manufacturer Agilent Technologies. Prior to that he was Program Manager for Victorian Platform Technologies Network (VPTN) at Biomedical Research Victoria and in his early career was a highly published Post-Doctoral Scientist and Senior Research Officer at Monash University.
