Introducing Dr Rebecca Tunstall – Senior Director Stakeholder Engagement

MTPConnect is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Rebecca Tunstall as MTPConnect’s Senior Director for Stakeholder Engagement, starting in January 2020. She will be based in the Melbourne head office.

Rebecca will lead MTPConnect’s stellar stakeholder engagement team – Dr Kate Brooks in Perth, Andrew Bowskill in Brisbane and another role soon to be announced in Sydney. 

Reporting to COO Stuart Dignam, Rebecca will be a key member of the executive team and in addition, will work closely with our BMTH and BTB and Growth Centre teams and projects.

She has extensive experience in pharmaceutical clinical development and external engagement and is passionate about the development of medicines to improve human health. Rebecca has spent the last thirteen years with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Australia in various leadership positions in their clinical research division, focusing on oncology research and development. Most recently she was Head of Study Management, responsible for the execution and delivery of all clinical trials in Australia, and the contact for GSK’s oncology clinical and translational consortium.

Rebecca was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at McMaster University, Department of Medicine, Ontario, Canada and University of Guelph, Department of Human Health & Nutritional Sciences, Ontario, Canada researching insulin resistance and type II diabetes. Her research is published internationally and she holds a Doctor of Philosophy, a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours (Food Science and Nutrition) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) all from Deakin University.
