National Medicines Policy Review

Our managing director & CEO, Dr Dan Grant represented MTPConnect in Canberra at a meeting of the National Medicine Policy Committee. The NMP is a framework focused on people’s access to, and wise use of, medicines. The framework is being review over the next six-months, with extensive input from key stakeholders. This collaborative process will ensure a fit-for-purpose NMP which continues to give Australians timely access to safe and high quality medicines.

Alex Fowkes Joins MTPConnect Board

We welcomed a new member to our Board, with Alex Fowkes appointed as a Non-Executive Director. Alex, who’s returned to Australia from Singapore after serving as Chief Strategy Officer for WuXi NextCODE, joins Chair Sue MacLeman, directors Julie Phillips, Nicholas Cerneaz and Douglas Robertson and managing director & CEO, Dr Dan Grant on the MTPConnect board.

MTPConnect Podcast Series

We kicked off the 2020 MTPConnect podcast with a fascinating discussion with renowned burns surgeon and WA-based researcher Professor Fiona Wood AO. We also delved into the world of digital health with Curve Tomorrow’s Head of Product Management Arthur Ong.

New Team Members

As a new addition to our WA team, we welcomed Rebekah Craggs as Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, working with our WA Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Dr Kate Brooks. We also welcomed Dr David Fox, who joined our team as Senior Director Sustainability, who will work on developing forward-looking strategies for sector growth and is based in Newcastle, NSW.
