MTPConnect’s Researcher Exchange and Development Within Industry (REDI) Initiative is running a series of three Investor Workshops to demystify investing in the healthtech sector.

The workshops - for investors-only - will be held in Sydney, NSW; Adelaide, SA; and Melbourne, VIC and take place on 25, 26 and 27 July 2022 respectively.

The Investor Workshop Series will give potential healthtech investors the chance to hear from other investors and experts in the Medtech, Biotech and Pharmaceutical (MTP) sector.

Participants will improve their knowledge about the benefits and risks of investing in MTP companies, learn how to assess investment opportunities, and be able to meet with fellow investors to grow their network.

Director of the REDI Initiative Jarrod Belcher said it is a pleasure to add these Investor Workshops to the suite of programs, courses and opportunities REDI now offers.

“The Investor Workshops are ideal for people who are keen to invest in this innovative and growing industry in Australia, but want to understand more about this specialised area,” said Mr Belcher.

Workshops open to all investors

“We are interested in Angel Investors, Venture Capital Limited Partnerships, Family Offices and any other investors attending.

“The afternoon workshops are open to all investors seeking to increase their knowledge of the MTP sector and are free of charge,” he said.

The workshops will be led by Richard Dale and Rob McInnes – both with experience and credentials in investing, commercialisation, innovation, new venture development and venture capital.
