Manager Stakeholder Engagement WA – MTPConnect WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub

MTPConnect is seeking a Manager, Stakeholder Engagement WA. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading not-for-profit working to accelerate the rate of growth of the medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical (MTP) sector in Australia and build a more resilient and competitive medical products industry.

About the opportunity

MTPConnect partners with the Western Australian State Government and the University of Western Australia to co-fund and operate the MTPConnect WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub to accelerate economic growth and create new jobs and Industries by supporting the growth of the MTP sector in WA. It is one of the four WA Government Innovation Hubs that deliver programs to connect the innovation community, build capacity and new skills, attract investment, and foster commercialisation.

The Manager, Stakeholder Engagement WA will report to the Director, Stakeholder Engagement WA and will support the management, delivery and reporting of an annual program of activities to deliver growth opportunities for the WA sector. The Life Sciences Hub works to ensure that the local sector is linked to major initiatives, programs and projects, and is focused on the growth priorities identified in MTPConnect’s Sector Competitiveness Plan, including clinical trials and the development of pre-clinical expertise, and capability in precision medicine, regenerative medicine and digitally enabled MTP solutions.

The Life Sciences Hub works with research, investment and government networks to simplify intra- and inter-state business and in directing international investment into Western Australia where this will grow innovation, business capability and successful commercialisation.

This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge, experience, as well as state, national and international networks, to contribute to the growth of the WA sector.

We are seeking an experienced Manager who can support the Director to work collaboratively with stakeholders, deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to the goals of the Life Sciences Hub. If you have 3-5 years’ project management experience and a history of stakeholder engagement in the medtech, biotech or pharmaceutical sector, we’d like to meet you.

The position is full-time, with a fixed term 12-month contract. Location is Perth, WA with working from home arrangements supported.
