Virtetic
Virtetic is an early-stage start-up established in 2021 developing game-based virtual reality therapeutics for people living with limb loss.
Virtetic's goal is to help people transition to life with a prosthesis and regain their function and independence faster.
Over 57 million people around the world live with a major limb amputation with a further 1 million people undergoing such amputations every year. It takes four to six months post-amputation for people to receive a prosthesis. During this period, they have limited rehabilitation and training opportunities, leading to long term issues.
Virtetic's virtual reality therapeutics allow people to take advantage of the golden time for rehabilitation by making prosthesis rehabilitation and training available at the earliest stage possible, accessible from home, and relevant to daily life.
