Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP)

The Medical Device Partnering Program, supports the development of new, high-tech medical devices through facilitating collaborations between researchers, industry, end- users and government, and undertaking rapid research projects that demonstrate proof of concept and de-risk ideas. Founded by Flinders University in 2008, the MDPP is supported by the Government of South Australia to rapidly develop ideas and bring them to market. The Program invites inventors, clinicians and researchers with an idea for a new medical device or assistive technology to apply to receive up to 250 hours of technical expertise which may include proof of concept research, prototyping, product validation or small clinical evaluation. The successful applicant will also receive a product opportunity assessment (feedback from prospective end-users/market review) as well as introductions to stakeholders where necessary. 

The MDPP has received funding through the MTPConnect Project Fund to build on the success in South Australia and pursue expansion of the Program on a national scale.

Medical Technology Association of Australia

MTAA is the national association representing companies in the medical technology industry.

Medicines Australia

In partnership with key stakeholders, Medicines Australia drives the creation and development of an environment for the continued sustainable growth of the innovative research based prescription medicines industry.

Pathology Technology Australia The peak body representing Australian sponsors and manufacturers of in vitro diagnostics, including Australian manufacturers, multi-national and local distributors of pathology tests, as well as regulatory consultants working in the IVD sector.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia

The national peak body representing community pharmacy. It seeks to serve the interests of its members and to support community pharmacy in its role delivering quality health outcomes for all Australians.

Pharmaceutical Society of Australia

PSA is the peak national professional pharmacy organisation representing Australia’s 29,000 pharmacists working in all sectors and across all locations. PSA provides an extensive program of education and professional development activities across Australia, including the PSA Intern Training Program.
