Support for a national consortium for translational medical technology and pharmaceuticals research and training.

The Accelerating Australia project is set to improve coordination and collaboration across the sector by bringing together a consortium of members including government, industry organisations, service providers, universities and research institutes from across Australia to partner to provide a coordinated and streamlined range of training programs at a variety of levels across the continuum, catering to a broad range of participant requirements.

It will improve the management and workforce skills that are essential for growth of the sector via assembling an extensive mentorship group including industry professionals with high level expertise in intellectual property, clinical trial design and costs, venture capital, financial services, regulatory affairs, medicinal chemistry, and large pharma, as well as those with expertise in health economics, reproducibility of research, high throughput screening, preclinical testing, protocol development, biologics, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, repurposing molecules and working with university technology transfer offices.
