On The Ground in Asia

This week our CEO has been in Hong Kong and Shanghai with the Australian delegation to AusBiotech’s Asian Investment Series, exploring new market and collaboration opportunities. Dan gave keynotes on the strength of Australia’s clinical trials sector and its attractiveness for investment and as a preferred destination for companies conducting clinical trials. The delegation heard from Michael Chan from the Hong Kong Exchange (HKEX) on the opportunities for raising capital in Hong Kong. Dan also met with representatives from the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) and explored the precinct. Our latest episode of our podcast also features Dan as he recaps day one of the Investment Series.

Dr Alfredo Martinez-Coll – GM Stakeholder Engagement

CRC-P & ITRP Application Review

Alfredo met with 21 stakeholders for a final review of their CRC-P round 7 applications ahead of yesterday’s deadline. He also provided his feedback to the ARC for eight applications in their submission to the ITRP that was due Wednesday.

MDPP Officially Launch in Victoria

Sandhya represented MTPConnect at the Victoria launch of the Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP), with has secured additional funding from the Victorian Government through LaunchVic. The Victorian medtech community was out in force, joining MDPP Director Professor Karen Reynolds and Regional Director Professor Sally McArthur. The CEO of LaunchVic Kate Cornick was on hand and the official proceedings were led by Victoria’s Minister for Jobs, Innovation and Trade, Hon. Martin Pakula MP.
