About the Event

Join us for an online event where we will help you get ready for partnering in 2024! In this first session of two, we will focus on planning for a productive conference.

These sessions are intended to support South Australians and Western Australians heading to the BIO Convention in San Diego in June. However, they will be equally valuable for those about to engage in partnering conversations, particularly within a conference setting.

Whether you're a first-time attendee or a seasoned pro, these sessions will provide valuable insights and tips to make the most out of global conferences designed for partnering.

In this session, we'll focus on:

  • setting your partnering objectives
  • identifying your target prospects
  • creating a compelling online presence (using the BIO Partnering Platform as an example)
  • communicating to prospects to secure a meeting
  • scheduling meetings in BIO

You'll hear from two of MTPConnect's Stakeholder Engagement Directors, both who have considerable experience in business development with the sector, who have attended numerous international partnering meetings and who have experience in pitching healthtech to prospective partners:

  • Jo Close, Director, Adelaide Intermediary Program
  • Tracey Wilkinson, Director, Stakeholder Engagement WA

Session 1 | Online
All registered participants will receive a diary invite with a Zoom link to join the session.

Preparing for Partnering Sessions

Session 2 will be focused on the meeting and your pitch. This workshop-style session will include professionals who have been on the other side of the table - big pharma, investors and partners - who will provide valuable advice and feedback on your approach.

The second session will be held in person in Adelaide and Perth the week commencing 29 April. Please see the following pages for more information and to register:

  • Adelaide: 1 May 2024
