About the Event

Join us for an early celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 on Thursday 7 March 2024 from 13:30 to 14:30 AEDT as part of our Speaking of Science webinar series.

In this special International Women’s Day 2024 webinar, hosted by NHMRC’s General Manager and Inclusion Champion, Prue Torrance, you’ll hear from a live panel of Research Committee Members including Ms Christine Gunson, Professor Yvette Roe, Dr Yee Lian Chew and Professor Frances Kay-Lambkin.

With a focus on the 2024 theme of Inspire Inclusion, our panel will discuss NHMRC’s role in funding outstanding female researchers across Australia’s health and medical research sector. There will also be an opportunity to engage with and ask questions of our inspiring guest speakers through a thought-provoking Q&A session. You won’t want to miss this event!

Please note that this webinar will be recorded and published to NHMRC’s website afterwards as part of our new ‘Speaking of Science’ series. If you have any questions for the event organisers you can reach us at media@nhmrc.gov.au.
