About the Event

You are invited to a seminar by Dr Stephanie Tan who will be visiting Canberra this month. Dr Tan is visiting ANU, from Singapore, to interact with those involved with clinical trials in the ACT, and share learnings and opportunities. As part of her visit, Dr Tan will be presenting a seminar on clinical trials and sharing her experiences from Australia and Singapore in relation to clinical trials.

Clinical trials are important for the development of new treatments as well as discovering new ways to detect, diagnose and reduce the risk of diseases. Investment in clinical trials saves lives and improve health, not to mention the multiple economic flow-on benefits it brings too. This presentation will compare the clinical trials of two countries, Australia and Singapore with an extended discussion on the impact of government prioritisation in Singapore and the challenges associated with operating clinical trial units in Asia.
