APR.Intern is an official partner of the MTPConnect powered REDI initiative.

APR.Intern has partnered with MTPConnect to increase workforce capabilities and strengthen research translation within Australia’s medtech, biotech and pharmaceutical sector.

Eligible businesses within the medtech, biotech & pharma sector can access a $10,000 subsidy through the partnership with MTPConnect REDI. This brings down the cost of a 3-month internship to $10,000.

Under the agreement, MTPConnect’s REDI initiative will provide 25 businesses with a $10,000 subsidy to ease the cost of engaging a PhD student intern through APR.Intern. These short-term research placements enable innovative businesses to access Australia’s brightest emerging research talent and fast-track R&D. For universities, these placements support the development of an industry-ready PhD workforce.

Please note: These internships must be 3-months in duration and executed by 15 August 2021.

Industry Eligibility

• Proposal must have medtech, biotech or pharmaceutical relevance
• One MTPConnect REDI subsidy per business
• Project subject to MTPConnect review and approval
