About this event

Jo Close, Director of the Adelaide Intermediary Program, will facilitate a conversation with Biome Bank’s Thomas Mitchell (CEO) and Sam Costello (Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer).

During this fire-side style chat you will discover Sam’s journey from clinician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to entrepreneur of a start-up. Sam and Thomas will share the challenges of developing the world’s first regulated microbial therapy, secrets to a successful start-up and the future vision for this exciting South Australian company.

About Biome Bank:

Established in 2018, BiomeBank is a rapidly expanding South Australian biotech with its sights on revolutionising treatments for a range of diseases by restoring gut microbial ecology.

Their first drug product, BIOMICTRA, is a donor derived microbiome-based therapy manufactured locally and supplied throughout Australia to treat a severe gut infection and a chronic disease.
