About the Event

The Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium is Australia’s premier cardiovascular research event. This year's theme will investigate "Genomics, Diversity and Equity - ensuring benefit for all".

Hosted jointly by the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and the Heart Research Institute , the Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium is free to attend and attracts the best and brightest of NSW researchers, interstate and international talent.

Program & Speaker Preview

Day 1, Thursday 1st December - EMCR Day

The first day is dedicated to showcasing the work of our early and mid-career researchers, spanning basic sciences, translational and clinical as well as public health and implementation research.

The day’s scientific sessions feature:

Day 2, Friday 2nd December - Genomics, Diversity and Equity

Day two presentations from local, national and international speakers will have a focus on Indigenous Australians and closing the gap in cardiovascular health.

Day 2’s four sessions feature:

• Presentations from speakers representing over 15 organisations
• Keynote speaker Daniel MacArthur
• Poster Sessions
