In his current role as Vice President, Intelligence, and Head of Medical Alley Starts at The Medical Alley Association, Frank helps members radically simplify complex ideas, make connections that transform people, businesses, and communities, and develop the future leaders of Medical Alley.

Among his many advisory and board positions, Frank has served on the MTPConnect BioMedTech Horizons Steering Committee since 2020. Frank's visit to Australia is being led by MTPConnect's Clinical Translation and Commercialisation Medtech Program.

History of the ‘Minnesotan Medical Alley’

When The Medical Alley Association was founded in 1984, it was to service the thriving sector based around a ‘medical alley’ in Minnesota, which was, and remains, one of the global epicentres of health innovation and care. Today, Medical Alley is the world’s leading health technology innovation cluster that includes Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Ecolab, Mayo Clinic (one of the leading hospitals in the world), UnitedHealth Group (the world’s largest private health insurer) and the US national marrow donor program.

The region is home to more than 1,000 healthcare companies and employs more than 500,000 Minnesotans.
