DMTC Seeks Collaborative Project Proposals in Medical Countermeasures

Health Security Systems Australia (HSSA), a division of DMTC, is currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for collaborative project proposals focused on the following priority themes:

  • Anti-infective therapeutics, including against antimicrobial resistance
  • Vaccine products or platform technologies for infectious disease threats
  • Medical Countermeasures against chemical threats

EOI submissions must be made by 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2022.

DMTC is an independent, not-for-profit company that creates, manages, directs and delivers successful industry-research collaborations involving multiple partners to enhance sovereign defence and national security capabilities, consistent with Government policy and priorities.

Health Security Systems Australia (HSSA), established in 2021 as a division of DMTC, expands upon these objectives with an aim to build sovereign industrial and research capability in line with Australia’s health security priorities.

The Medical Countermeasures (MCM) Program, led by HSSA, is focused on the development of vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics for the protection of military and civilian personnel against chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) threats, emerging infectious diseases and pandemics.

How to submit an EOI

EOI proposals can be submitted on the DMTC website and must include a completed Quadchart of no more than one page, using the template provided. Please refer to the Supporting Information document on the website for background information and details about the submission.
