Microscopy Australia Technical Voucher Fund
Pictured: Ellie Kable, one of Microscopy Australia’s expert staff, putting cultured cells into the controlled-environment chamber for live-cell imaging.
The scheme will fund vouchers to support MedTech R&D by providing easy and discounted access to Microscopy Australia (formerly AMMRF) microscopy services, reducing existing barriers to use.
The Voucher Fund will provide industry with access to analytical tools and experts with problem solving capabilities. Funds are tailored to Australian SMEs and large companies’ research needs and aim to facilitate better links between universities and industry to offer more solutions to R&D challenges.
Outcomes: Six vouchers have been issued to SME's, progressing product varying from drug discovery to medicinal cannabis and supporting clinical trials within Australia. Five Microscopy Australia sites from around the country were involved in the project.
