About the Event

Are you a researcher, a founder or a student who is interested in translating your proof-of-concept lab prototype or research idea, into a commercially realised product?

Genesys Electronics Design in conjunction with The NSW Smart Sensing Network will provide an interactive educational workshop lead by Genesys Co-CEO George Bou-Rizk and NSSN Electronics Engineer Kimi Izzo.

Learn how to turn your initial concept or lab prototype into a well-defined, robust proof-of-concept device, enabling a pathway towards mass manufacture and possible submission to the TGA/FDA (in the case of a medical device). You will be guided through the product development process, engineering best practice and technical/regulatory understanding, with learning supported by activities that reinforce the required optimised approach.

The seminar will touch on:

  • Developing design inputs
  • The A-to-Z of all major design and development tasks
  • How to make regulatory standards your friend for simplified yet robust designs (for electronics design, software design and quality control)
  • Design for manufacture principles

The first part of the workshop will focus on device design for smart sensing IoT devices with application in any industry, followed by an optional second half focusing on the requirements of medical devices.

C
atering will be provided and a detailed agenda to be sent closer to the date.
