About the Event

MTAA invites members and non-members to join us for a Regulatory Networking event. Hosted at the MTAA office, we're bringing the regulatory community together to strengthen business connections, share advice and insights, and open opportunities for support.

A valuable opportunity to hear about the skills needed to progress your regulatory professional career beyond the technical skills. Communication and stakeholder management skills are equally as important to succeed in the workplace, and recruitment specialist Elizabeth Pettit, Founder & Managing Director of PPD Search will provide practical tips on successfully mastering these.

Regulatory professionals play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, efficacy and compliance of medical devices - a responsibility that goes beyond technical expertise and delves into a realm of crucial soft skills often overlooked in traditional discussions.

This discussion may encompass various soft skills, including but not limited to:

  1. Communication Skills: The ability to effectively convey complex regulatory information to diverse stakeholders is paramount in navigating the intricate regulatory landscape.
  2. Adaptability: Regulatory professionals must swiftly adapt to evolving regulations, technological advancements and market dynamics to maintain compliance and foster innovation.
  3. Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving skills are essential for tackling intricate regulatory challenges and devising pragmatic solutions while upholding stringent regulatory standards.
  4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is indispensable for ensuring accuracy in regulatory documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills are vital for fostering productive partnerships with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to achieve common regulatory objectives.
