In partnership with The Hospital Research Foundation Group, Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation, Cancer Council SA, Health Translation SA is excited to launch this year’s HTSA MRFF Catalyst Grant Scheme.

The Catalyst Scheme provides targeted funding to develop a pipeline of collaborative research projects that address health system needs in South Australia. Project teams must comprise members from at least 2 health service organisations, 2 academic research organisations/health and medical research institutes and 1 consumer.

The ultimate goal of the scheme is to increase SA’s success at winning MRFF Funding.

The Catalyst Scheme:

✅ is multi-institutional and rewards meaningful collaboration across the health system, health service organisations and academic research organisations/institutes.
✅ focusses on health consumer, community and/or clinician defined priorities to address an unmet health/healthcare need affecting the South Australian healthcare system.
✅ supports projects that align with MRFF Principles and Priorities to demonstrate local impact with potential to scale beyond South Australia.

This round of the Catalyst Scheme has a budget of $480,000 available to provide funding of between $20,000 to $60,000 per project for a maximum of 1 year.

You will be required to select the stream(s) you wish to apply under:
🔴 Stream A: Chronic condition preventive health for priority populations (The Hospital Research Foundation Group)
🔴 Stream B: Maternal/Paediatric health and wellbeing (Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation)
🔴 Stream C: Cancer (Cancer Council SA)
