This boot camp is being run by the Actuator and the Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP).The boot camp workshop provides an introductory overview of the various constituents of the commercialisation trajectory of medical technologies. The workshop consists of: 1) a Q&A session where experts from the field will share their views and experiences in commercialising a medical technology, providing insightful information for aspiring entrepreneurs; 2) an IP session that covers a number of themes such as defensive IP Strategy, IP landscaping, filing a patent, patent rights, and infringement avoidance; 3) a market positioning session that includes information about the Market, competition, customer development, business model and business plan; 4) a finance session that focuses on capital raising strategies and cash flow projections; and 5) the art of the pitch session that provides tips on how to pitch, the challenges of pitching, as well as how to deal with rejections.
