About the Event

BioMelbourne Network are hosting a series of quarterly events in 2019, sponsored by the Victorian State Government (DJPR), with the theme ‘shaping the future of health’ with a view to align industry and economic development in Victoria with future healthcare needs.

For the second event in the series we will be hearing from Professor Stephen Nicholls, Director of MonashHeart, who will be giving a presentation on an exciting new initiative, the Victorian Heart Hospital. He will cover the journey and progress to date and the opportunities for the future – focusing on strengthening links with science researchers based at Monash University, catalysing translational and clinical research, and fostering industry engagement for innovation in cardiovascular care.

The keynote presentation will be followed by a panel discussion on Victoria’s current cardiovascular capabilities where Sabeen Shaikh, COO, the Medtech Actuator will facilitate Q&A with our expert panel drawing on their differing experiences across medical technology/devices, regenerative medicine, clinical trials, and industry collaborations.
