About the Event

The MTPConnect WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub invites you to join the monthly WA MTP Sector Spotlight Series event.

Our monthly breakfast series is an opportunity for representatives from across the MTP sector to connect, collaborate and learn about upcoming opportunities, and hear the stories and successes of WA organisations developing health and medical innovations. Join us over a light breakfast in the last week of each month at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Join Chief Commercialisation Officer Colin La Galia and Chief Innovation Officer Dr Stuart Midgley in conversation with Dr Tracey Wilkinson for a fireside chat discussing the DUG Technology story, the future of green life sciences, and how anyone from the WA ecosystem can better tap into local high powered computing services.

Featuring DUG Technology

DUG is an ASX-listed technology company, headquartered in Australia, specialising in analytical software development and reliable, green, high-performance computing (HPC). The company designs, owns and operates a network of some of the largest and greenest supercomputers on Earth.

The company’s proprietary immersion cooling system, DUG Cool, reduces power consumption by up to 51%, supporting our Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) footprint.

A global company with offices in Perth, London, Houston, and Kuala Lumpur, DUG has a strong foundation of applied science and a history of converting research into practical, real-world solutions. DUG delivers innovative software products and cost-effective, cloud-based HPC as a service (HPCaaS) backed by bespoke support for technology onboarding. DUG’s expertise in algorithm development and code optimisation enables clients to leverage big data and solve complex problems. The company continues to invest and innovate at the forefront of software and HPC, working towards a climate-positive future.

DUG is backed by responsive, round-the-clock support and R&D teams, ensuring the latest processing and technology is at the fingertips of end-users, allowing them to focus on the outcomes of their data.

In 2019 we launched our fully-integrated DUG Cloud platform which has enabled us to offer HPCaaS, scientific data analysis services and software solutions to a range of scientific sectors including the resources, government, lifesciences and education industries to name a few.
