About the Event

Join Dana Bell, Innovation and Translation Intermediary as she hosts MTPConnect's SA Insights Series. Dana will be joined by Allison Nikula, Founder and CEO of CareApp, for a one-on-one fireside chat.

Allison Nikula was inspired to create CareApp when her own Grandparents needed a little extra support. Allison's family wanted to be active contributors to their care, but communication was fragmented and visibility about their care and wellbeing was poor. At the same time, Allison was leading a team of over 440 community care workers and saw that her personal experience was not unique.

Allison will also speak about her entrepreneurial journey, how she took only a concept to secure her first customer and navigating the challenges of the pandemic to deepen her connection with customers and solidify CareApp's place in the Aged Care Sector. She will also talk to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in South Australia and what it takes for innovation to succeed.

At the heart of Allison's insights, you'll hear about values based leadership, trusting yourself to be decisive in unprecedented ambiguity and creating joyful experiences for customers and families.

This event will be followed by an opportunity to network over drinks and nibbles.
