Introducing Dr Erin McAllum – BMTH Project Manager

MTPConnect is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Erin McAllum as a Project Manager for the BioMedTechHorizons Program starting today. 

Erin will be overseeing the daily management of the research projects from Round 1 of the program, until their completion this year.

She will work with Senior Director BMTH, Dr Gerard Gibbs and Director BMTH Dr Vishal Srivastava in Melbourne, assisting with value added activities for all funded recipients of the program.

Prior to joining MTPConnect, Erin spent four years leading a research project to discover the role of biological metals in dementia and Parkinson’s disease at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health. Her work has also contributed to the pre-clinical development of a novel therapeutic for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, now in clinical trials in Australia. Erin has a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Otago in New Zealand and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Melbourne.
