Introducing Jo Close – Director Stakeholder Engagement for South Australia

MTPConnect is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Jo Close as MTPConnect’s Director Stakeholder Engagement for South Australia, starting today.

Jo will coordinate, facilitate and accelerate programs and initiatives that grow the medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector across South Australia and align and connect the state to MTPConnect’s national strategies, initiatives and programs. She will be engaging with stakeholders including companies, universities, medical research institutes, health professionals and researchers, research organisations and relevant industry associations.

Jo is a health and medical scientist with deep experience in the health, medical technologies and pharmaceuticals sector. Her extensive experience in strategy, analysis, business planning and management in the research sector has been developed across 20 years working for universities, research organisations, investors, startup companies, community organisations and charities in a range of roles and discipline areas to lead and drive new innovations with strategic intention.

Jo co-founded the Medical Device Partnering Program at Flinders University in 2009 with Professor Karen Reynolds and is currently a Non-Executive Director (Former Chair) for Cure4 Cystic Fibrosis.

She holds a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours), Flinders University.
