Please Welcome our New Intern Taochakkreytap (Chak) Lee

We are delighted to announce that Taochakkreytap (Chak) Lee is taking up a 3-month internship at MTPConnect working in our Adelaide Intermediary Program, based in Adelaide.

After completing a Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) major in Genetics at The University of Adelaide in 2021, Chak completed a Bioprocessing Internship with The University of Adelaide’s Faculty of Chemical Engineering and then undertook a work placement in 2022 in miRNA research at Gene Regulatory Networks Laboratory, Centre for Cancer Biology at the University of South Australia, gaining valuable scientific research and data analysis skills.

Chak also volunteered as a Laboratory Assistant at The University of Adelaide’s Department of Molecular and Biomedical Science.

In 2020, Chak was appointed as a Student Ambassador for SA Government’s Study Adelaide supporting international students during the Covid-19 lockdown through an events and media program. He is also the Co-Founder of the Cambodian Student Club of Adelaide at The University of Adelaide.

He undertook an entrepreneurial internship in 2019 as a data analyst with Project Everest Ventures in Bhubaneswar, India focused on a social business venture encouraging sustainable agriculture projects that benefit the local population.

He speaks several languages including English, Khmer, Mandarin and Thai.
