CTCM Opens Round Two Funding Opportunity

The Clinical Translation and Commercialisation Medtech (CTCM) Program has opened its second and final funding round to support the development of home-grown medical devices.

An initiative of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) delivered by MTPConnect, the program is offering between $250,000 to $1.5 million to Australian small to medium-sized enterprises to accelerate eligible medical device projects delivered over a maximum 24-month period.

To be considered for funding, projects must focus on the development of a medical device for human use, the purpose of which is to diagnose, prevent, monitor, treat or alleviate a disease or injury, or modify or monitor anatomy or physiological functions of the body.

Activities to be funded include, but are not limited to, prototype development and product testing, clinical trial activity and regulatory support.

A range of resources have been provided to assist applicants submit an EOI including:

  • A sample EOI application form which is available online to provide an overview of what will be required at the time of submission.

All applications must be made through SmartyGrants via the Apply Now button on the MTPConnect website.

Applications for CTCM Round 2 funding will close on Friday 7 October 2022 at 4:00pm AEDT. We advise you to avoid submitting your application at the very last minute – the application deadline is final.
