SBE is now accepting applications for their 2023 Life Sciences program, which will run from September to November 2023.

The SBE Life Sciences Program is designed for women-led life companies seeking business knowledge, growth capital, and access to a network of experts to build globally scalable and sustainable businesses. The Program is designed to support women-led clinically informed businesses that have a proven MVP and are ready for investment and growth.

The Life Science program will focus on building a research backed or tech-based life sciences business and elevate the founder from scientist to CEO. It will help founders to solidify market position and build the team, technology, and operations necessary for growth and expansion.

Supported by an extensive network of industry experts, advisors, and investors, SBE will work alongside the founder to help develop a clear vision for the next stage of growth, target KPIs to track progress, and an understanding of the capital needed to achieve your goals.

The best part of this program is that it is non-dilutive, maintaining your equity stake so you are well positioned to qualify for other investment vehicles supporting women founders!

Elisa Mokany, CTO and Co-founder of SpeeDx, an Australian MedTech business developing cutting edge molecular diagnostics points out that thinking of herself as an entrepreneur was one of the biggest challenges at the early stages of business.

"I went into the program as a scientist and came out as an entrepreneur" said Elisa Mokany, a 2015 alumni of the SBE Life Sciences Program.

Gynecologist and Pain Physician, Dr Susan Evans founded South Australian-based Alyra Biotech in 2017 to address the need for novel products to treat pelvic pain in women. Dr Evans is a 2020 alumni of the SBE Life Sciences Program.

The Onboarding workshops (virtual) are held in September and the in Business Intensive session is held 23-26 October 2023. A showcase event is scheduled for November. Applications are due by 28 July 2023.

Initially started through a parternership with US based Springboard Enterprises, SBE Australia is now the flagship for purpose organisation supporting women entrepreneurs who transform industries in Australia.
