Helping You Prepare to Partner at BIO2024

Join MTPConnect for an online information session on 15 March 2024 to help you get ready for business partnering in 2024!
In this first online session, Planning for a Productive Conference, you'll hear from MTPConnect's Jo Close, Director of the Adelaide Intermediary Program SA and Dr Tracey Wilkinson, Director of Stakeholder Engagement WA who have extensive experience in business development within the sector. Having attended several international partnering meetings, they will share their insights and experience in pitching healthtech to prospective partners.
This session is designed to support SA and WA delegates heading to the BIO Convention in San Diego on 3-6 June 2024. However, it will also be valuable for those who are about to engage in partnering conversations, particularly within a conference setting.
Whether you're a first-time attendee or a seasoned pro, these sessions will help you to make the most out of global conferences designed for partnering.
Session one will focus on:
- setting your partnering objectives
- identifying your target prospects
- creating a compelling online presence (using the BIO Partnering Platform as an example)
- communicating to prospects to secure a meeting
- scheduling meetings during BIO 2024

Pitching to Your Audience – May Workshops
A follow on session, Preparing for Partnering: Pitching to Your Audience will be held face-to-face in Adelaide, SA on 1 May 2024 and on 8 May 2024 in Perth, WA.
You will hear from industry experts on what they are seeking from a company’s pitch during a partnering meeting. You will also have the opportunity to practice your pitch and gain valuable feedback.
The sessions in SA and WA will focus on:
- Your audience (Big Pharma, investors and partners), what they are seeking and what they expect
- Slide decks, what to cover and how to tailor for different meetings
- Your presentation and engagement style
- Sticky stories
- Effective follow-up to convert leads to opportunities
