MTPConnect’s Adelaide Intermediary Program hosted its first session of the Global Market Navigator Program recently with a VIP launch, bringing together the ten selected companies for an inspiring event.

The pilot program aims to support ten Adelaide-based C-suite leaders in the healthtech and medtech sectors looking to go global with the added advantage of their location at the Adelaide Biomed City precinct to support their future expansion.

The ten companies selected represent biotech, medtech, therapeutic, digital health and spacetech and will be supported with tools, mentors, and access to international experts to help them go global.

Program lead and MTPConnect’s Director Commercialisation South Australia, Dr Natalie Rickers, kicked-off the session with a meet and greet followed by a special presentation by Lusia Guthrie, Chair of Neo-Bionica, who shared insights about the journey from concept to market. She highlighted how, ‘It takes a village...’ and how to build upon the ‘village’ of skills, talent and opportunities. She also shared the value of having a global mindset.

MTPConnect’s Director Adelaide Intermediary Program Jo Close welcomed guests and spoke of her passion to see SA-based healthtech companies succeed.

“We want to bring innovators and entrepreneurs together, create connections and share learnings, and build a critical mass of healthtech companies in the Adelaide CBD who are ready to scale and build a pipeline of opportunities,” said Jo Close.

Guests also heard from both the Managing Director Adelaide Economic Development Agency Greg Ratsch and Fusetec - Advanced Surgical Training CEO Mark Roe.

The Global Market Navigator Program, an initiative delivered by MTPConnect's Adelaide Intermediary Program and supported by funding from the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA), will help these companies in the development of their business expansion plans.
