The Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations (ACADI) is looking for its next cohort of mentors to become part of the successful ACADI Mentoring Program and is inviting industry professionals to become mentors.

By becoming a mentor, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the career journey of the next generation of diabetes researchers. The experience will also enhance your leadership and coaching skills, as well as providing access to networking opportunities with other mentors.

ACADI was established through MTPConnect’s Targeted Translation Research Accelerator (TTRA) program, through the Medical Research Future Fund.

The program includes:

  • Purposeful, cross-organisational pairs
  • PhDs or early-to-mid career researchers
  • Structured training by Serendis Leadership

Commitments as a mentor and/or mentee are:

  • 1-2 hours a month
  • 6-8 months of the year
  • You can take part in person or online
  • Opportunity to connect with the wider cohort in person at two facilitated events
