MTPConnect cements US medtech links through MoU with influential Medical Alley Association at the 2022 MedTech Conference
MTPConnect and the Medical Alley Association of Minnesota have committed to working closely together to support the growth of medtech companies with the signing today of a Memorandum of Understanding. The MoU was signed at the 2022 MedTech Conference in Boston by MTPConnect Chief Executive Officer Stuart Dignam and Medical Alley Association’s Vice President of Intelligence, Frank Jaskulke.

New funding for The Bridge Program to continue its successful pharma commercialisation training in 2023
The Bridge Program is proud to announce that MTPConnect’s Researcher Exchange and Development within Industry (REDI) initiative will be the new sponsor of its successful Australian pharmaceutical commercialisation training program delivered by Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

The GSK Australia Graduate Researcher Program is an Australian government funded, industry-hosted initiative developed to help bridge the skills gap between academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The program aims to provide participants with a diverse range of development opportunities, hands-on experiences, and exposure, with a view to improving Australia’s success, capacity, and capability in terms of the translation and commercialisation of health and medical research. MTPConnect’s TTRA program invests $6.7 million to accelerate transformative Australian diabetes and cardiovascular disease innovations
MTPConnect and the Minister for Health and Aged Care, The Hon. Mark Butler MP, today announced $6.7 million funding for nine diabetes and cardiovascular disease research projects through the Targeted Translation Research Accelerator (TTRA) program.

In 2020, gut health medtech Atmo Biosciences set out to demonstrate proof-of-concept for its gas-sensing technology – the Atmo Gas Capsule System – supported by funding from MTPConnect’s BioMedTech Horizons program.

New MTPConnect Podcast: Inventia’s Skin Printing Robot Set To Revolutionise Wound Repair
Two decades after the tragic Bali bombings, we are reminded in recent news stories of many of the survivors who had to deal with devastating burns injuries and undergo skin grafts and multiple surgeries to stay alive. World renowned burns surgeon Professor Fiona Wood treated many of these burns patients and helped to develop a new technology to treat burns – a ‘spray on skin’ - now in use in over 30 countries. Professor Wood is now lending her expertise to a new project being led by Inventia Skin, a Sydney-based start-up on a mission to revolutionise wound repair.

IMCRC Partner Stryker opens new medtech R&D lab in Queensland
A new Australian research and development (R&D) lab for innovative medical technology has been opened in Queensland by Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies. Established with the support of the Queensland Government, the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and Metro North Hospital and Health Service, the Lab will work to accelerate the translation of research within Australia’s medical technology ecosystem.
