Time is fast running out to submit your expressions of interest for funding under the $45 million BioMedTech Horizons program.

BMTH is an initiative of the Medical Research Future Fund, operated by MTPConnect in partnership with the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) and AusBiotech.

We’re offering grants of up to $1 million to support development and commercialisation of cutting edge new medical technologies.

We’re targeting innovative solutions to address unmet clinical needs in four therapeutic areas: Cardiovascular, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology and Emergency Medicine & Trauma. Funding is available for small to medium size enterprises (SMEs), including start-ups, and researchers who partner with SMEs.

This is the second round of funding under the BMTH program, which was launched in April 2018 by the Minister for Health, Hon. Greg Hunt MP, at Monash University.

MTPConnect’s Managing Director & CEO, Dr Dan Grant, is encouraging the Australian research community to get their applications in so they can take advantage of the substantial funding on offer.

“The BMTH program is a great opportunity for early-stage medtech innovators to secure significant financial support to take their research to the next stage along the translation and commercialisation pathway,” Dr Grant said.

Don’t miss the deadline. EOIs received after 17.00hrs (AEST) on Monday 15 July 2019 will not be considered.

Meantime, the Biomedical Translation Bridge (BTB) program (a separate initiative also operated by MTPConnect) remains open for expressions of interest until 16 August. Details of how to apply can be found at the MTPConnect website.
