Congratulations on your selection into the inaugural cohort in the Global Market Navigator Program.
The MTPConnect Global Market Navigator Program is a professional development program for leaders of early-stage companies, innovators, entrepreneurs, and C-suite professionals based in the Adelaide CBD who are seeking to expand into global markets.
The format will include a series of face-to-face workshops and one-to-one mentorship. The program also offers access to an exclusive network of global industry experts and networking opportunities within the healthtech ecosystem in SA, nationally and beyond.
Topics will include information on product/service positioning, global opportunity mapping, development of marketing strategies, understanding regulatory environments, IP strategies, financial management and investment strategies.

The Global Market Navigator Program is seeking participant companies who are in start-up, early-stage, scale-up, or spin-out stage, and who are commercialisation ready.
Participating companies can expect to benefit from:
- Creation of bespoke market strategies to assist participating companies in:
- Identifying and actioning opportunities for value creation and directing resources effectively
- Accelerating revenue and pipeline by implementing an early marketing framework that will support opportunity and awareness growth
- Extending market reach both domestically and internationally
- Tailored proposal guidance to support a specific strategic outcome
- Support in crafting a pitch deck for your next round of investment
- Access to expert global business-relevant mentoring and connections
Program Components
Participating companies will benefit from the hands-on program which is uniquely tailored toward their needs and complemented by working one-on-one with a mentor, as well as having access to a pool of global experts over the course of the program. Companies will be supported in the development of bespoke market strategies to help refine their product market fit, enhance their understanding of global regulatory requirements, devise go-to-market strategies across different global regions or assistance in the creation next investment round pitch.
Successful participating companies will have the opportunity for up to three senior level staff to take part in program activities.
Program Outline | 2024
The Program will consist of face-to-face workshops, guest speakers, one-on-one mentoring, and access to a network of global industry experts across different areas of expertise.
Delivered across 10 months from March to December 2024, the Program is comprised of:
- Workshop One – introductory session, program overview and networking (half day)
- Workshop Two – strategy, marketing, product fit, manufacturing, logistics and distribution, IP, regulatory, finance and investment. Participants will learn from case studies throughout the day (full day)
- Insights Session – sharing of knowledge, strategies and final outcomes (half day)
- Celebration event and invitation to APPLAUSE24, SA’s premier healthtech ecosystem event.

Mentoring Program
Participants will be paired with mentors selected from a network with extensive expertise in commercialisation and business scale-up within the healthtech sector, across different global regions and across areas of expertise, providing invaluable guidance and support in navigating the challenges of growth and innovation. Participants are expected to meet once a month with their mentor for the duration of the program.
In addition, by leveraging MTPConnect’s global reach and connections, a selection of Industry Experts will exclusively be made available to participants at their discretion.

Tailored Proposal Development
Participating companies will receive guidance to develop a tailored proposal to communicate their vision, value proposition, and potential impact. The proposal can be tailored for use in seeking investment, forming crucial partnerships, expanding into new global markets or landing those pivotal first customers.
The Global Market Navigator Program is an initiative delivered by MTPConnect and supported by funding from the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) an Adelaide City Council agency. The program aims to support Adelaide CBD based healthtech companies or companies looking to relocate to Adelaide’s thriving healthtech ecosystem.
